Call me Mr. Green. I think of myself as an active, positive sort of fellow. A lot better than the stern Mr. Red. I don’t come out as much as him, but I make the most of my time.
“Come on, everybody. Let’s get walking!” I shout. “It’s okay, no one’s going to hurt you.” After a while, I stay to wave, faster and faster. “You can do it! Time’s almost up. Don’t stop now!” I like to be encouraging.
Then, just like that, I’m gone and Mr. Red is standing there, stern and forbidding.
“Don’t walk,” he growls. “It’s the cars’ turn now.”

I wish the signal lights were really this way. Then there would be no question whether or not you had enough time to cross the street 🙂 You should really get into city planning. Or, do you happen to already do this. First, the Meanderbus and now this. See what I’m saying?

You got a point. 🙂 Actually, in Korea they mostly have the countdown numbers next to them so you know how long you have, which is really nice. I used to have to memorize how many times it blinked at various crosswalks, since they were all different. One out in the country blinked 72 times. Crazy long.

Wow, it must be a really long street or busy 🙂 They have a countdown here where I live. It think it’s usually 20 times.

Do you not have the indecisive Mr. Yellow where you are?

Well, not for the crosswalk signals. For the traffic signals, yeah, he’s kind of on the fence. 🙂

The mark is very unique. Our mark is different from this one.

Just like Mr. Red – he jumped the gun and did not accord me my 3 seconds of fame. So says the cautionary Mr Amber

Hi David…..cute and clever!…….thanks for the “like” re: “Celebrating Bahamian Praise (3)”……I’ve perused your posts and although I am honestly not a horror/creepy fan, I only deal with that realm when I have to, I must say that you definitely have a gift for fictional writing……..use it well………blessings!……Kim

Thank you for your compliments. I like to write a wide variety of things, which means that not everyone likes everything I write. I guess I’m still experimenting and finding my voice.
